FAQ:

DO I NEED ANYTHING TO PARTICIPATE?

Commitment and curiosity. Everything else including materials, course information and journals are provided in the cost of the course. A copy of the book is not included, you may wish to purchase this separately.

WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT LEVEL?

The Artist’s Way is a commitment to yourself, as well as an investment in yourself. From week one, we will tap into daily rituals and weekly practices, for three months. However, this course is not facilitated with an all or nothing/non-negotiable/militant attitude, we don’t want to push anyone beyond their limits or place guilt on anyone; the course is led with acceptance and allowing. Each week will look different, with some being easier or less busy than others. Generally, the commitment we would ask for a week is about 5 hours, including the 2 hour workshop. As with most self-development, the more you put into this, the more you will get out of it.

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE A SESSION?

No problem! If there are any absences/holidays during the course, the weekly course material can be sent out via email to be completed remotely. We do not provide refunds for absences or drop outs once the course begins as this is an incentive to stay on the course and complete it - there are no exceptions. If there are extenuating circumstances such as serious illness or family emergencies, you may be offered the chance to pick up the course again for free with a new intake.

CAN I JOIN IF I’M NOT AN ARTIST OR A CREATIVE?

Absolutely! We believe everyone has the capacity to be creative and an artist. This course is all about helping you discover and recover your inner artist. If you don’t currently see yourself as particularly creative or artistic, or maybe you haven’t tried since you were younger, this course will help you find the creative heartbeat within you and unblock your capacity for self expression.

What is your COVID policy?

Arts Sisterhood operates with a strict and protective COVID policy - if the facilitator shows symptoms or tests positive, the workshops will be moved online to video calls or alternatively, postponed temporarily until the course can be resumed in person. Attendees must not attend if testing positive or showing any symptoms.

Is this a safe space?

Yes - this is a safe space for all women, this is really important to us. We operate with a non-judgmental and accepting environment to encourage self-expression and creative freedom. Everything said within the course is kept private and confidential, unless there is a safeguarding concern. We have a strict policy on disrespectful, discriminatory or disruptive behaviour - if anyone compromises the safe space of the course they will be ejected immediately without a refund. However, this is very rare. Our attendees play the key part in the enjoyment, fun and power of the experience. Most attendees leave with a brand new group of like-minded and supportive friends.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

£110 for a standard space. £75 concession price for those who are disabled or on benefits. Journals & materials are included in the price.

The Artist’s Way 12 Week Course is strictly non-refundable. The Artist’s Way is an intensive creative course which requires commitment, attendance, self-reflection and hard work. Some attendees feel the urge to self- sabotage or quit at various points across the duration. The refund policy remains strict to keep buyers accountable until completion. Please be aware of this when placing your order for The Artist’s Way. If there are extenuating circumstances, you may be entitled to swap your space for another date or time.

Discounts are not available in retrospect. Past orders cannot be cancelled to receive a discount. You may only use a valid discount at checkout on a new order.

Description:

Our 12 week course will involve weekly meetings at our private location in Dalston, East London, where we will talk through and discuss the book’s weekly theme, carry out our weekly tasks together, practice our journalling together and discuss progress or thoughts from the previous weeks exercises and morning pages. All journals and materials for the tasks will be provided.

This course is perfect for anyone looking to get in touch with their creative side, remove any blocks standing in the way of their self-expression or creativity, or anyone who is looking to embark on a journey of self-exploration and self-development. It may also be helpful for those who have attempted to complete The Artist’s Way but found it difficult to keep up with the weekly tasks and may benefit from the prompts of a group setting. People who have no knowledge of The Artist’s Way and creative beginners are very welcome.

Ali facilitates the workshops with a non-judgmental, accepting and calm attitude; she is there to offer support, guidance and encouragement without pressure. Ali’s aim is to ensure you finish the course successfully and gain as much as you can from the content and tools without adding unnecessary pressure.

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE A SESSION?

No problem! If there are any absences/holidays during the course, the weekly course material can be sent out via email to be completed remotely. We do not provide refunds once the course begins as this is an incentive to stay on the course and complete it - there are no exceptions.

Attendees must do lateral flow tests before attending and must not attend if testing positive or showing any symptoms. Attendees must sanitise hands upon entry and any unvaccinated attendees must remain masked.

14th December - Manifesting a Healthy New Year - Forget about new years resolutions, we'll use the effective power of visualisation to actualise strong mental wellbeing and achievable goals for the year ahead whilst actively leaving regrets, disappointments and sadness behind us.
